Family pride

I was born in Nimo, in the providence of Onisha in Nigeria. When I was younger, I was a runner and I used to play basketball in school with my friends. Because I was involved in sports, my health was fairly good, but I’m getting old and now it’s not so good. I have to use a wheelchair everywhere I go, but I’m okay with that.
God has been good to me. As you can see, I always have my rosary with me. Because I was the only daughter, God blessed me with seven children, twenty-one grand children, and one great-grandson. I’m very thankful to almighty God for having a wonderful family.
Nigerian culture is very nice. Family values are very important to us, and we enjoy family gatherings and listening to Nigerian music. The women wear traditional Nigerian dresses according to the occasion. I love to wear Nigerian dresses because they are comfortable and beautiful.
In the photo to the left are my grandsons who live in Nigeria and me wearing a Nigerian dress.
