Dr. Brenda Austin, Ph.D. Named
Fellow of National Academy of Neuropsychology
San Francisco, CA -- Dr. Brenda Austin, Ph.D., Vice Chair of the Laguna Honda Psychiatry Dept., has been named a National Academy of Neuropsychology Fellow.
The Chairperson of the NAN Fellows Committee, Shane S. Bush, commended Dr. Austin for her "significant contributions to the field of neuropsychology."
The honor will be awarded at the NAN annual meeting in Nashville November 7.
Dr. Austin is the director of the Laguna Honda neuropsychology training program for graduate students. She has been at the hospital since 2000.
She is also an accomplished long distance swimmer. As part of a relay team, she has swum the English Channel and entirely around the island of Manhattan.
